On a Saturday afternoon cruise, in the wheelhouse of the Nepean Belle, two old school mates were enjoying the serenity of the Nepean River and the unique and spectacular views in the Nepean Gorge.

 

Jim, owner of Nepean Valley Funerals and Chris, owner of the Nepean Belle, sought to combine their love of Penrith, Community and the Nepean River in a joint venture - and so the idea of having a special, peaceful and unique life celebration aboard Penrith’s iconic Nepean Belle Paddlewheeler -Funerals on the Water - was born.

Chris and Carol Bennett own the Nepean Belle Paddlewheeler, an icon in Penrith and the region's very first tourist attraction.  A local couple, Chris worked on the Belle as a teenager at St Dominics College, the school he attended with Jim Mueller.

Jim and Janet Mueller have grown up and lived in the Nepean Valley their whole lives.  Jim has been involved in the funeral industry from a young age and has worked for a number of prominent funeral directors in a career spanning over 30 years.

​
